WOUW! I think you should also be a writer and your artist note touches me alot! My grandmother also had a singer sewing maching, and even the needle box looks the same. This unique photo gently brings me back to my childhood, times at which the world was still OK. It is very positive to me and I would have given it a 6, but have none left. Wonderfullybeautiful Photo!

I love your story and especially the photo of still life. I have actually sewn on one of these old machines which isn't very easy to do. If still have my old Singer but it is only about 40 years old. I love how you arranged everything and the colors you used. I love what you have put on top of it and the cloth or sheet laying to the side. Certainly brings back memories to me. Good luck in the contest. I think you have a real unique photo here.

I looked at one of these almost every day in my home growing up. It brings back wonderful memories. I think the initial impact of the image is the nice color tones used on and around the subject. I do like the blurring on the edges and the drapery on the end of the subject. Very nice image.

nice story you added with the picture. Like the white vignetting you added. reminds me of the old singer my parent use to have although i have no idea what happened to theirs. The Singer table looks perfect condition. Nice composition.

Amusing verse in the artist notes. My mother used to own one of these machines so it brought back memories a bit. This has been framed lovely and great how the machine has been adorned with various arcticles before the shot. Nice clear image, great colors, good exposure and clarity.:-)

Artist notes and title are good. Like the blurring effect to add the nostalgic feel. A sewing machine is a great piece of interest, because so many memories have been made there. thanks for the sharing this great shot

i have a photo myself of a singer sowing machine. yours would have been a worthy entry to the recent design classic. i like the framing and the soft shade of pink + the soft glow around the edges.

Initial Impact: Antiques.
Story Telling: Good potential.
Artist notes: Descriptive, however capture information has not been shared.
Composition: Good POV to place subject at focal point.
Framing: Good
Lighting: The lighting is even across the subject with nice touches of contrast that add interest.
Color: Red filter? Would have gone all B&W or sepia for this.
Focus: Sharp
DOF: Works well to enhance subject.
Textures: Linen textures brought out.
Creativity: Vignette did not work for me here. Would have gone more of antique with the sepia throughout and possibly added some noise and scratches to increase antique look.
Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.
