This is an excellent photograph and one that is profoundly reminiscent of the tribal regimentation of military life in basic training. Very well done and thank you for sharing.--Dr. Carlton

This is a very poignant picture and very well taken. "Work will set you free," is not a scripture but a twisting of John 8:32 which says that the truth will set us free. The really relevant scripture here is Revelation 12:7-12 talking about the devil's anger.

Once you understand where this is, this photo takes an entirely different meaning. It gives the story life and makes the story sink in, Thats what a journalistic photo is suppose to do. so, from that viewpoint this is a six and I dont have one.
From a techy point, which doesnt apply really to a lournalistic shot that conveys and matches the story, it is also good.
The angle using the lines of the edges of the beds works ok. Use of light from the window is great.
To even get more effect one thing I would have at least tired , if time permitted, and camera type and flash type permitted. would be to back up even more to really get more of the lines of the bed, understanding that would lessen the light , I would then have taken a flash and pointed it straight to the ceiling , set the flash or camera to 1/8 flash power and bounced a bit of fill light on the foreground. Using a higher shutter speed or smaller apeture to still use the same exposure for the light coming in. Then you get the best of both, light coming in on the beds closest to the window and then a tad bit of light on the foreground , but only if you back away from the window more, again if you could.
Just some ideas for using ambient from a window and a tad bit of fill light for enhancing the lines that lead you to the subject.

Great shot
Jim

Thank you very much. I had to do it without flash. Inside the museum or barracks, flash was not permitted

Great artist's notes. positioning within the frame, clarity and colour. Thank you for sharing and thank heavens our children have never seen such a war and degradation. You have captured the light of hope through your storeytelling and the light through the window. Well done Annie. Frances

Story - Well done!
Good clear picture. I can't imagine sleeping in such confined quarters and two to a bunk. How horrible.

This is really good but so very sad. I am glad you are posting these great photos. I am so proud of you. Bravo!

Great clarity in all these photos. Good lighting, and good contrast.

Very emotional photo with the story attached. The cross in the window adds to the feeling of hopeful emotion. Focus, framing and the illuminating light are wonderful.

Great story telling with the photo. Nicely composed and presented. I like your handling of natural light and how this is illuminating the bunk beds. Well done and thanks for sharing.

Great shot. A lot of people whould like to forget all that took place there, but for the people who can't get there to see the remains of a horrible time in history, it's nice to have photos like these to reflect back on. Thanks for sharing.
