Great initial impact! Love the framing. Love how you started your story... had me smiling as I have been there... done that! Coloring is great. Good focus. Thanks for sharing.

Just a heck of a good job. The detail and focus on the fly is wonderful, and I especially like the black background, causing the fly and the leaf on which it sits to stand out perfectly. Great comp, focus, color, and depth of field.

Yes, a great shot & you are so lucky to have the 'little bugger' stay still long enough! How many photos have we all had of just a blur where an insect was supposed to be? Great detail which show that even a humble fly can be a thing of photographic beauty. Neil

Nice job capturing this fly. I like the black background which really draws my attention to the subject in the photo. The sharpening looks good on the leaf, but seems to be a little too much on the fly. The subject nicely fills the frame.

This is a good shot, I like the composition full frame and on the diagonal. It does however appear to be oversharpened with some noise present especially around the edges. It also appears that the lighting was quite strong causing some glare on the body and wings, don't no if you have a polarizing filter or not but that would help lessen the glare and help enhance color saturation. If you have a long lens you might consider purchasing a bellow unit and use that with the long lens creating more distance between you and the subject while still filling he frame, I used that setup in my film shooting days, don't really do a lot of art photographing anymore but do shoot for 3D textures. Good job!

Thank you very much for the review and suggestions. I used an UV filter when this ws taken. Bellow unit would probably be nice to have thou.

:) I don't like flies, but the picture is really good. I like the pose and the colors. The position of the fly is well capture in the whole field. Perfectly positioned. Good work!

Yes I used a macro lens. After this shot was taken I have discovered a few other settings I can use on it. Thanks for the nice review.

Well shot! I hate flies with a passion but the detail on this is fantastic. You can see just about every detail on the little critter! Lighting is good and everything is so clear. Well done and thanks for sharing
