I have not seen any good pictures here tonight so I am pleased to see this one as it has such impact.
Lovely in so many ways.
The colors really make it.
Just a little bothered about the positioning but I guess the loss of focus lower down restricts the amount of the bird that you can use in the picture.
I do love it so much and almost gave an extra rating to it

This is a wonderful, beautiful bird, caught in the lens of a very talented photographer. It is simply beautiful.
I can't get past the sharpness of this, the brilliance of the colors, and the wonderful use of depth of field.
This is magazine quality to the hilt.

How absolutely stunning! The composition,lighting and clarity are impeccable, the detail, textures and contrasts, brilliant. And I do love the red beakstick she used even though it seems she got a tad careless in its application. Best of luck in the contest.

Fantastic close up on this guys face here. Good colours and really sharp focus, especially around his eye and beak. Love the tuft of feathers on his head - such a modern hair style.

A very good close up of this colourful bird. The focus and DoF are very good and the detail in the bird's feathers is excellent. The background is nice and neutral and makes thebird stand out well, I wish we had these birds in the UK, thank you for sharing.
