Very nice stop-action close-up of this little beauty. The black BG really adds to the shot clarifying all the details on the bird. Love the spread of her tail and the catch light in her eye. Nicely done, Willie! Lynnmarie

I would say this is a huge success Willie. The black background just makes the humming bird standout perfectly in a well focused and well placed image in a very well done photo.

This is a lovely bird and a wonderful photograph. I did not see the background green but for me it has not lost anything being black. The bird really stands out.
You perfectly froze the action, the bird's rapid wings are sometimes difficult subjects. The color is vivid but true and the exposure is perfect.

The only thing i see wrong is the background. Other than that, the clarity and detail is amazing. It is off center also. the dark background takes away from seeing the outline of the humming bird. Good job of finding and catching a hummingbird. I took pictures of one over flowers and bushes with a cheap digital camera, and not one came out good enough to post!

Ah, my favorite subject to photograph. Love taking pics of these flying machines! Excellent focus on this body to show all his feathers spread. Nice color on his back. We have the ruby's around here and the Rufus.
