This is another one of those excellent captures where I haven't enough star to give you for which this particular photograph deserves. If I had more I would rate this as a 10, based on the clarity alone. I'm at a loss as to find anything that I could or would add to this already beautiful, artistic creation. Love it and thank you for allowing me to view and review your excellent work.

this is a a brilliant photo. the bird is a fine focal subject and your framing is perfect to. the photo shows some delightful plumage colour and certainly worthy of six stars. all the best for the comp!

Nice close-up of a female cardinal, sharp focus and great lighting. My question I have seen a lot of female cardinal's pictures but I don't remember more than maybe one male- I wonder why- are the females showing off?

Thank you so very much! Up close the female shows the detail of her fethers better! The male is such a bright red you loose part of the detail! I will be posting some males soon!

This is of course a very good contest entry. This is for sure a pretty girl. Your focus is nice and sharp as always and with wonderful details. Excellent use of light. Nice and natural colors and a very nice background. The placement of the bird within the frame is very nice together with the tight cropping. Nicely composed image with good balance. Good luck with the contest.

Lovely macro of this beautiful lady! Great clarity and focus. The beak, tuft on head and red in the body are at an angle to form a diagonal color line which is quite attractive to the eye and really sets off the background of green. Good job!
