Pets are a joy to behold. My friend has a pure black one of these that goes everywhere with her too. I bet bertie loves going out with you. He has excitment all in those beautful alert eyes. Thanking you for sharing Bertie with us.

Bertie is for sure posing for you. She looks like she knows what is going on, and is trying to be as pretty as possible. Good idea with the red ball. I think it balances this portrait of your dog in a very nice way.
Your focus is pin sharp as always showing lovely details in the dog's fur and face. You also have a perfect background here. The exposure is perfect and the colors are nice and natural.
The way you have placed Bertie within the frame is perfect, and I also like the tight cropping. Still it would probably have been an idea to include the whole of both ears. The pose is just priceless. This is a nice photo of Bertie, and I wish you luck with the contest.
