The great Blue Heron looks awesome against the reflective water surface underneath. The blurring of the bird's background against its sharp image, magnifies its presence and flight above. The ghost reflection of trees, the light and dark effect of the water adds depth and perspective to this composition. I would remove the disruptive presence of the sticking part of a plant at the very left lower corner of the photograph. One must command the photographer for his skill to freeze a split of a second wing action into eternity. What a beautiful composition. It could not look any better. Unfcrtunately I ran out of 6s.

Excellent shot, great focus on movement, framing and use of thirds spot on. The darkness adds to the mood as it is about to to take flight...great natural lighting and colors are perfect for the atmosphere, and it does create a mood or feeling, which is what makes a great artist!
