With a moon like that, you need a few shadows! Haven't been around for about a week...my internet has been down. Apparently when it goes down here, it goes down!

Great piece especially right after that big ol' moon we just had. I do think something with a few shadows might have been interesing though? Otherwise an interesting scene and you got the neutral colors down that's for sure.

When I look at this I go back to my childhood and I get a spooky feeling as if something or someone is just over the rise, I don't know what, but I just feel uneasy. But I associate big full moons with games we played at night in our neighborhood. All the kids would get together and play various hide and seek type games---great fun. The moon would just help everyone see better.

Wow! How did you pack so much texture into this piece? The limited colour palette works just great. I love your composition. A very creative brain at work here me thinks!

A good challenge is inspiration. Love the rolling hills feel. Nice attention to detail in both the landscape and that great moon. Fits the contest well. Good luck. ps: How did the sharpie thing go?

this is really inventive and although devoid of your usual sunburst of colour, it's still mkflood-esq. the realization is very well presented and with texture skillfully applied.

I love the creative way you approached the challange. These exercises really make the artist push for the individual interpretation, I love the result, the title is great and the textures in the moonlight work well

Like all the various textures in this illustration. The colors are a little bland, but that is overcome by the various textures and patterns are the bomb! Very appealing for me in that regard. I might consider adding a light reflection to areas within the pattern to give it more depth and perspective on the patterns of the rock formation in the foreground.
