An impressive work featuring running bison. I like the warm colours in the picture and also the fact the whole picture is filled with these animals. Each one appears to be different in same way - perhaps size, shape or in its movement. This work must have taken you ages due to the amount of detail in every animal!

Susanlan,
yes, even at this size it took a little over 30 hours to complete.
The challenge was the creating the many shapes and then showing them in less details and still capturing the motion/ momentum of a stampede.I like the colors and the earth tone with the various shades of oranges and browns, the combination add depth and perspective to me.
I liked the results created by the limited pallet.
Thank you for your time in looking and writing your critique of my drawing it is very much appreciated on all counts.
Have great weekend,
Cheers!!

Your thoughts on your work concur with mine. I thought the warm colours were beautiful and definitely drew me into the image. Bison are interesting I think anyway since they are an animal we do not have here in the UK. Have a good weekend too. Regards. Susan

This is a stunning stunning work.Technically, I think, it is flawless to my eyes! The figures are beautifully proportioned, the composition is carefully and intelligently thought out, and the light and shadow effects are exquisite. Bravo!

Your pointillism work is always excellent. I am in awe of your patience to create art one dot at a time. From a distance I can even see the dust the bison are kicking up in the stampede.
It is very high quality work.

Sir Lucien, your pulse/wrist rate here must be 9 dots per second! LOL!
Amazing DOF meticulously rendered by minimal pointillist strokes only.
I like the varied dynamics executed by each bison. No two of them displayed similar positions when tonal value and contrast, heightened as the pointillist concentration approaches the viewer...
The soft rendition conveyed motion as clouds of dust rise up in thin air.
Filtered lighting.
Diffused focusing
Panoramic cropping.
How can you go wrong
with an awesome artwork
like this, when you have all
the artistic freedom in the world
aesthetically controlled by instinctive
discretion of distributing the desired number of dots per square centimeter
Thanks for sharing!

Very nice job! You must have tremendous patience to do this dot-by-dot. I like how you have individualized each Bison and show them in a herd. Great colors and shading. Really nice job!

M. Celeste,
Yes, one dot at a time, with the idea of creating a piece that had motion, action, and us a lots of earth-tones to achieve that effect.
