Sometimes it really is a case of 'right place, right time'! The rays of light are particularly impressive here Annie and your clever editing has really brought out all of the wonderful detail. Great composition and a very enjoyable image.

Handsome presentation with very special light effects and enhancements - this ambiance you created is perfect for the name of the church -Sofia = Wisdom and the sky and clouds are touching the tower in this special way that it looks like a blessing from heavens - the old walls and architecture style shows us the simplicity they had at these times no fancy windows, just walls and the holy sense of devotion - amazing angle and position, super contrast - super lighting - great shot

A true masterpiece. You are right, you caught this at a perfect time of day with superb lighting and that amazing sunset in the background. Spot on composition, of course. Great use of light and shadow. Rich color tones and detail. A stunner to me. Thanks for taking me to this phenomenal place.

Avmurray, This is truly beautiful, and I hope it doesn't get touched by tourism. You have captured it beautifully..I can't believe it is still standing after centuries. That is the nice thing about outside of the United States...They hold these places as very special...And I never see any graffiti and vandalizm. The sky is gorgeous, the colors so soft...not made over in photoediting so that it screams FAKE. You did very well on this one...Thank you for sharing.

The sky is very beautiful in this shot with rays from the sun streaming down to the ocean. You cannot see the sun as it is hidden by cloud formations. I like the view as you do and this place looks very calm and peaceful. Unlike the tourists areas where they are millions of people! Like the treatment you have given the shot which has created a HDR looking image.

Truly a magnificent photograph Annie. The sun's rays are unbelievably stunning as they break from the clouds and shine upon the land. Terrific focus and DOF with great color and sharpness. The many textures you have captured in the building, landscape, and sky, are wonderful.
