Another gem from Suzanne. Perfect composition as usual. Draws me right into the scene. Your colors and color nuances are always so perfect to me. Great depth too which always impresses me in paintings. Excellent.

I have never used the water mix oils, but I do like the effect they give. EXCELLENT composition here and fantastic use of color. And I just love the texture and the brush strokes showing, perfect.

The color is so soft and flora so gently in the canvas. The expression in the color is therefore so strong. It has a most appropriate composition for the theme. Thank you for sharing.

I am curious hoe the water mixable oil works? I am tempting to try it out.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. The water mixable oils look just like regular oil paints but they will mix with water or a special medium and your brushes clean in soap and water. They dry very quickly which is good for me as I only have a small home with no room to leave paintings to dry for long periods. You also don't get the lingering smell of turps or linseed oil. The ones I use are made by Winsor & Newton and are called Artisan. Suzanne

This is very attractive with the greens and softly-tinted water. I was wondering if the white section in the middle is meant for tiny sunlit reflections or if it was where the paint wasn't as thick. Pretty enough for a calendar page.

Thank you very much for your very nice review. Yes, the white bits are supposed to be reflections although they seem more pronounced on the upload than on the actual painting! Suzanne

Looks like a lovely place spend a lazy Sunday afternoon enjoying nature and all its wonders.
Love the colors, details and soft reflections in the water.
Beautiful painting Suzanne.
It emotes the lazy dazy end days of summer.

beautiful tranquil feel to this well composed autumnal scene Suzanne capturing the water movement well with a well rendered impression of the foliage of the riverbank, I can see why you had to use water soluble oils here-lol.!
keep up the good work my friend!

This, by far, has to be the feel good work of the week, we boil that down and we come up with, WOW. This does harbor good feeling, rendering emotion like a good piece of art does, your up there at the top, good for you.

What a beautiful and peaceful scene showing the turning of colors in the fall. Such a calming sight with your unequalled style and technique using the water mixable oil paints. It is a truly lovely work. Very well done!
