Wow almost like it's picking up the curvature of the earth.
But the subtle colors here I find so amazing.
A perfect framing to allow your eyes over the whole image till they rest on the sun itself. Beautiful!

I don't know what the answer is Fred but i took a shot of the the moon a few nights ago and it came out with red around its edges. This is a c omplete circle around the sun even down into the dark at the bottom. Very interesting.

Amazing composition and a bit mysterious and dramatic. The sun rays and the sphere formation is so vivid, and I recognized the tropical setting, because of the banana leaves. The mountain rides and the plants silhouette, made this image so splendid. Well captured.

A very special shot - I got a same one on Haleakala Maui - this is a place with HIGH ENERGY INCREASE from cosmos - most effects on holy places or mountain very early in the morning - at such places normally NASA has a station to investigate - you are a blessed person as from hundreds f people making pictures with the same camera at the same time from the same position, only one or two will make the invisible powers visible - I even got a double ring with two suns and two circles and another lady got the son and at the side a light portal in the same height of the sun - these effects are mostly achieved in Stonehenge at solstice - A very special image and a gift for you from heaven - powerful energy - message: there is more as you can perceive with your human eyes, sometimes I give you a larger view - so you have been touched by the DIVINE, great shot, much blessings

That is truly amazing & beautiful with the soft green ring around the sinking sun as it sends out rays of golden light in all directions lighting up the mid-ground & sky above it. The silhouetted palm fronds on either side making the perfect frame.
Taken with an artist's eye for composition beautiful lighting superb camera techniques with razor sharp focus.
