A beautiful animal. It's amazing how close our dogs look compared to wolves. He looks like he's not sure what to do. A good close up, nice in B&W. Good image!
Good luck in the contest!

Not fair really, the Wolf is my favorite animal! This unusual pose shows them as the sort of animal one would like to pet. Probably shouldn't though. Not sure the B&W helps that much, but a contest is a contest. Hope you won. Very nice.

A very nice shot and I see your love for the wolves has caught you up - he really stands there watching you his tale shows he does not know what to expect LOL
Beautiful frame , nice angle - good focus, good exposure but you are right in colors the grass would talk too and in black and white is somehow does not radiate one single energy - I am with you in that point - somehow the natural life power is gone and you are great in that - yet technically a perfect shot and presentation

One of God's most misunderstood creatures.
They take little and we offer them even less.
A fine example of black and white Annie. True tonal values that would hold up in any magazine or newspaper.
Great clarity and wonderful crop. Techs are perfect.

congrats on getting close enough the black and white seems very natural on any wildlife with no exception here this guy or gal looks to have had a hard winter and a bit on the hungry side none the less it is a very nice completion,,good luck and thanks for sharing.

This photo works really well in black and white, the fur on the wolf really stands out in fine detail. Great shot!

What a beauty. Love the focal precision and the balance of light to dark contrasting with your black and white exposure. What's most impacting to me, however, is the power in that trepidation found in that gaze back your direction with such inner turmoil and guard. Very expressive piece. Love the light.
