It must be the topaz effect that is making the background
so soft and interesting.

Also the beams of white light that emit from the
tulip are quite pretty.

I especially like the angle
you used and the positioning of the flower in your frame.

Very beautiful.

Thanks for sharing

Thank you so very much for the lovely review Mollie. Topaz has nothing to do with the background. I only use Topaz Lens Effects to sharpen, adjust color and light, add a tad more high light when needed, and for adding vignettes.

Excellent photography of tulip. Love the soft play of the light and shadows, like the color, and great sharpness. Nice depth, beautiful details, texture and frame. Well done.

Wow, very beautiful! I love that deep background making the tulip stand out. The values in the white are beautiful as is the detail, love the stamens. Stunning!

Been saving one six, now it is gone :) Super work Annie, love all the technical work. Great focus, frame, background and exposure to show the most beautiful tulip.

Very lovely shot of this tulip. I like the slight angle that you have it at, not quite straight one, but nicely tipped up giving us a glace of the stamen and pistals, but not making them the feature of this shot. Lovely background. Well done!

I guess you shot indoors, or are the tulips already blooming in Oslo? However, its a great greeting of spring. It seems I am freezing less just looking at it. The dept you archived is amazing as the clarity in detail, especial since the flower appears as having a texture of velvet softness. I love what you did to the background. It looks like veils of silk. it has an touch of nostalgia, but a very modern touch as well. I guess it could be called contemporary.

Thank you so very much for the lovely review Cleo. Yes, this is an indoor shot. When you can't find flowers outside, then you go the florist. LOL

So dainty and divine. Love the artistic presentation. Good depth of focus showing the contrasting yellow stamen against the white, crisp petals. Excellent framing and technical skills. Well captured and a pleasure to view.
