Very interesting shot. Well done with sharp focus and color. The look on his face is very nice. I admit, I'm distracted by that cage(?) material on the lower left. Too dangerous to have around birds. Cheers, James.

Yes, you can sure tell it was a windy day. Love the green reflected colors on the water, good focus and frame on these two. A very colorful scene.

Fred,
A great stop action picture of the Grey Heron & the Mallard duck sharing the same spot in the shallows. The sunbeam across the water adds a touch of gold to the scene. The wind ruffling the Heron's feathers it's head turned to get a better look at you. Artistic composition, beautiul atmospheric lighting with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

The Heron and the duck sounds like a book title, and with all the wire mesh around it could be a tragedy. Like your capture of the Heron the feathers not yet preened.

A very fine image with great natural colors. I like the light on the water and (I thought I would never say it) the look of the chicken wire. Very nice cropping and a joy to behold.
