Wow and Wow! Very good drawing and you have really captured the true essence of the man here. I see kind, tender, and innocence all in one with a dash of charming and lovable. Amazing detail. I am sure that the woman appreciated this very much. Nice job!

Comment from Jean A Cormier
Good capture of the iconic Elvis before it all went bad...one can see the innocence in the face at this point, almost an angelic appearance, trademark mouth, the sepia tint you gave it softens his features further! The ear appears quite bright though, maybe just the shot your took! Nicely drawn, with, again, almost a watercolor look but less of an emotional piece than one renders when painting a person or animal with whom a 'connection' is established.' I find that true of my own work, it is not meant to be a negative comment, just an observation! Overall quite stunning work! jean

Thank you Dale. It was fun drawing him. His face just speaks of a loving heart, and I could feel that as I drew his image.

Thank you so much BC for the 6 stars and for recognizing the innocence I felt he displayed in this picture.

How does a person create a piece of art with such an iconic reputation? You do some research, dig deeper than most, and identify emotionally with the subject.
All of that is done here. I have never seen this pose of Elvis before. It expresses his tenderness during the early years of his singing career.
The eyes express an innocence full of hope and belief in the music industry. The pose is a portrait master piece. The highlights and shadows bring out the best in his physical appearance. The patient detail in his hair, nose, and mouth as well as his ears is superb.
Once again, well done.

His eyes are hauntingly real and his baby face features are perfection. Your work is always emotive and breath taking.
How you achieve such realism with a pencil and blendind stick is truly a gift.
Well done Lady Linda👍👏😉

Thank you Julie. My drawing has been critiqued by an artist on this site and it is flawed terribly.

WOW... Such a young man... with so much life ahead of him.
At this point, his eyes were clear, his face bespeaks of innocence. Well drawn. Mood well captured.

Thank you Snow. There is an artist on this site who really found fault with this drawing. So I appreciate your kindness.

This is a lovely portrait of Elvis, Linda. I love the expression on his face and it does show a different side to his character. I like the sepia tones.
Great detail drawn and excellent use of the blending stick. Suzanne

Thank you Suzanne. Apparently the ear is too light, and the hair texture isn't up to par.
