Excellent drawing, Linda, showing this iconic cowboy. Love all the detail you've drawn in the beard and hair, facial markings and hand. Excellent light and shade. Great composition. Suzanne

A beautiful drawing. I can't begin to imagine how you do this sort of thing. The composition is great and you captured both the likeness and the spirit of the character.

So lifelike with a cunning resemblance of the great actor!
3-dimensional creation with fantabulous features and smooth textures.

Compact framing.
Better not to clip tips... ;-)

So lifelike!
Well done!

Such a Wonderful drawing Linda. I agree, Jeff was so rugged and gruff looking that he fit the character perfectly.

Your rendering, as always, is so Very well done. Such detail that one could easily mistake it for a black and white photo.

Talent on loan from God.

Well done Good and faithful Servant ~ Steve

This drawing is flawless. I like the composition. The hand and the gun in the foreground emphasize the striking expression of the face. The attention paid to defined detail and exact shading is impressive. How the light plays on the on the face, the hand and the barrel is realistic and intriguing. Perspective and proportions are exact.; The tight framing is perfect.

Hi Linda, I love the John Wayne version of Rooster Cogburn too! I haven't seen the newer version with Jeff Bridges playing the roll, but I think you have definitely caught the look! Your image is beautifully drawn with lovely shading and proportion. The image is so precise it looks like a BW photo. The atmosphere surrounding the image is top notch! Super Job! :o) Nancy

Superb work Linda, as always! Your attention to details and the lighting and shading are all amazing. I agree with you about Jeff Bridges too. John Wayne is a legend, but pretty much played the himself in almost every role. I think Jeff Bridges is a much more versatile actor and was excellent in this role.

Nicely done pencil drawing of this classic character of the west. Very good details and shading in the image. I don't mind the hat being clipped off, but I think the full tip of the gun should be in the drawing. Good perspective. Good background. Well drawn.

Dear Charles, to get perfection is impossible. Try as I might, I just keep missing the mark. Thank you for pointing out the flaws.
