Hi Pat, I'd be thrilled to if I saw a sunset like this. This is full of breathtaking color. Love the reflections in the water and the grass that seems to have picked up the sunset hue. Very Pretty and a joy to view. Beautiful lighting and focus! :o) Nancy

OMG! I should have been an Alaskan. My I add this to my favorites for a painting reference? Now to the photograph. Sky ablaze over a tranquil body of water visually reverses the mind's desire to see blue sky above and flame below. Distant mountains corrects the mind's demand. Just to see a photo of this is almost spiritual. Reasons for my 6 star vote.

Wow. This is stunning Pat. It looks like a painting only Nature in all it's Glory could create.
The foreground grasses lead the eye to the lake with its wonderful reflection of the fire lit clouds.
The central grasses make a great segue to the distant sunlit mountains overshadowed by the fire in the sky.
It must have been spectacular to see in person. Great image Pat ~ Steve

Well Pat I have absolutely no choice but to give thus a 6 it is just fabulous! if you had not have taken this I would swear this was one of mine it is just how I would have presented and taken this!
Those colours are superb just the sort of late evening colours that you would expect, the light is also the winner here and how they make those reflections work so very well indeed, the reeds make a great base or though I can like without them but its that stunning sky that makes this for me, I think that we both see nature this way Pat!

I love the colours, the mood... very nice
great composition! Everything is great on this photos, except the sharpness. Maybe it is from the resizing but a little bit more sharpness would make this photo perfect.
