amazing our good friend of the Sharpie art. An amusing thing here. My hair is always long and pinned up, although the lab st barths took half of it out remote /because Berlin Hum Res Felix used it as punishment for the mental patients. Trial =all mistakes/ Especially teaching in China, India, Pakistan etc I had no problems with hairdressers by having it long however thin! Some time ago I wanted to put a pic of me on my profile pic but couldn't get it to work, so left it. I think it is a smashing idea. Both your versions of us and the idea of honouring us! You are very much part of FAR and long may it be so!

Superb concept. I like the representation of each that you have added. All of them does seem to be on point. The details are remarkable. Cool idea. Spacing and color are on point. Good luck in the contest.

A pretty good looking entry into the competition posted here! Looks like you have gathered here the personal images of prominent members of this site. It is both interesting and attractive. Well done and good luck!

Wow! What a work of art. Each one of us figuring in your painting should be feeling so proud. I am humbled too. FAR artists should be ever grateful to you. This definitely is a sure shot winner-at least as far as I am concerned.Good luck!

Wow Mark, What a wonderful story and narrative. Yes it is true, but It is also true that many members tend to promote their work at a higher reward given to others for their reviews...and this cost member dollars which are earned my members for doing their job! Those who sit on the committee are paid
to help others, and are paid to sit on the committee for doing their job...it may not be much, because I have sat on the welcome committee.
It was fun at the time, but also at the time I had the time! Members who do not review many images need to spend their own money to promote their work to a higher level....it is not possible any other way... and to achieve their getting results in numbers of reviews
as the rankings are based on,
they get them by placing themselves at the top! Seems the system is skewed to favor those who continue to sit on the committee. It is getting better, but still not based on
complete and objective critique. I think most people appreciate the honest reviews...but the sad truth is that most people would also rather believe the false praise
if their work is not up to par...Really ask them what they are more happy with!
Wow...Way too much information...So sorry..Just really wanted to let you know I love your art and love what you do for this site! So appreciative!

I have been working with sharpie and Bic pens for a half century now. Almost a decade ago when I joined FAR my work was doing rock musicians.. sports.. tributes..etc. even though I was getting recognized in the work and ended out in the top 5 every year. However I just couldn't enough fanbase to get that #1 spot. I had been kicking around some kind of cartoon series. So thought to myself what things to folks photograph or paint. Kids...animals... flowers..? Kids..no enough of those have been done by many cartoonist..so I started with "Strange Critters"..I think that one has almost 200 skits ..but I started the "Funnie Flowers" series it rocked from the beginning..not just time a couple others websites. There are umpteen artist out there wanting the same thing I want. I have to stand up above that crowd. Tell me this have ever seen some awesome work of an unknown artist yet the artist who does way less than par work is well known? That unknown artist maybe didn't know how to promote himself. This site helps teaching how to go about doing that. Thanks for the awesome review.

I?m so glad you shared this with me, I was afraid to share these thoughts with you ...but sometimes we all need to vent! Also Mark, you DO stand above the crowd! Doesn?t matter where your at in it to me...I can spot your signature work! I love the Funny Flowers...I?m a flower girl ! (Wink) it?s my favorite subject to photograph.
They are really a gift from above ...and they come in so many varieties!
Have a wonderful night!
And thank you for sharing this valuable information...

Also maybe an incentive or change made to the system
Would make it easier for everyone involved? For Those who need to be shown how to promote themselves..without having to incur additional spending?
Just a thought....

In my opinion is it's the art game I reckon..it's.like that thru usa..maybe everywhere else too

Well let's see shall we! (wink)

Great creation and even greater notes. Both are getting my six. Great choice and 8 and fun to see them as your cartoon creations. Totally understand and appreciate the influence. I have learned so much from so many, miss some of them that have left very much. Plus, I just love art and enjoy everyone's creations immensely. Thanks for this wonderful tribute to FAR members.

I am truly disappointed not to find my name amongst all the fine FAR artists you have picked out. LOL But I love the idea, and even if you had not put names on your characters, I would have guessed who they are. I also agree about everything you have written in your notes. Without other FAR members, I would never have learnt as much as I can do today.
Therefore I also like the background you have created with the chains and the gears showing how FAR members are linked together.
The composition is of course busy, but it works, and it is actually a fine balance in the composition. Well done Mark.
