Red with black background is a great capture. The flower is perfectly placed though its downward. Like the details of the stem and petals. Two stems make it more lively.

I love to do the same, it changes my mood for winter, when they droop like that its because air got in the stems, I usually try to cut the bottom to prevent this from happening, depending how long they have been out of the water is how much I determine to cut off, I find roses are more prone then these daisies, but the effect of the black background here is very effective in showing that red colour

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! Thank you also for the information , it makes sense, it must have gotten air in the stem when I took it out of the water to photograph it the day before.

This has turned out very well, I think due to those drooping heads thus making a more unusual take and allowing capture of their beautifull shape and colour. The lightbox technique? I don't know this but have heard of it. I hope to check it out.

A pretty good looking image posted here! Your fine and central composition offers us an enjoyable view of your beautiful blooms. Like the swirling petals. Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely taken!

Pat,
A beautiful picture of these deep scarlet Gerber Daisies their heads drooping but still very beautiful against the dark background. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques& sharp focus.
