I specially like the purple in its neck :-))) Where I live, this is not a very welcome bird. People call them "Rats with wings". I love all animals and I could never heart them! Beautiful portrait. LOve it!!

A very good looking image posted here! Never seen a pigeon like that over here in the UK. Like the bright eye and feather detail. Exposure and sharpness are spot on. Great photo!

Pat......very nice photo full of details and in a nice focus ......the Pigeon has a style ......waiting for the close up selfy.......it's a nice photograph and I like the softness of the background which goes well with the close up......I'm sorry about the other day but it's hard for me to do reply with my phone.....I respect your talent and style of work......it is sad I cannot find more words for the beauty of your photo shot......lighting looks great .....good luck down the road

She is beautiful. The golden light within her eye is mesmerizing. Your photo is excellent focused and exposed and has good depth. I enjoy the sharpness of detail and the realism of color and light. The soft background emphasizes the bird remarkably. The portrait is excellent composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

This is indeed a good looking pigeon, and I especially like the way it was looking at you when the photo was taken. I also like the close and personal approach and how well you have captured the eye.
The bird is standing out sharp and well defined against the softened background, and it is clear details to be seen in the feathers.
The tall format is working well, and the pigeon is well placed within the frame. A truly lovely and well taken photo Pat, and with an excellent DOF.

Pat this is a beautifull take and you are right that this pigeon has its own beauty in the eye and petrol/water colour effect of his body. The portrait style is so right for this view, well centred and framed.
