This is lovely! I would seriously love to be sitting on top of the lighthouse, staring at the moon, and watching the fog roll by! I love the water, and the reflection in it! Overall, just a great painting!

Gosh shawn,I'm feeling bad today as this is the second in a row that has had no impact to thrill the viwer with. This one would be beautiful if there were just a "tinge" more color or less heavy on the fog.If I walked into a doorway and noticed this 15 feet away I know that I would not be able to make heads or tails out of it. Okay,I'll be quiet as I am sure a lot of people liked it,I'm just one that didn't :(

Thank you, Angel. Sorry to disappoint you so much lately. And you're right, not everyone likes everything anyone does. How half of the old masters ever got famous, I'll never know. Some of their works are really horrible. Thanks again for taking the time to look and comment on what I post.

My first impression was "that's very mysterious looking" with the fog all around and the darkness. I like how the moon is in the sky. It looks to be part of a castle...or not? It really seems to tell a story to me. Great job! Thanks for sharing your great work with us.

This is lovely. The foggy atmosphere gives your lighthouse a real feeling of isolation. A great storytelling piece. Nice detail and love the moon in the background.

I remember when growing up that these were still manned. Today there are electronic or abandoned. There is a feeling that is lost about them, from my perspective, since the conversion. Your piece is beautifully done and shows the elegance of these structures and the mood they evoke. Thank you for sharing this. Travlin1

Good morning in looking at this posting I find it to be for me to be a very good rendering of the fog as it rolls out of the scene as the sun starts to peek through the current of mist. Like the effect in this, of that one element (fog). I think you created it very masterfully in this image and composition. In this image the colors and the way you have brought the light in seem to really make me believe it is fog.
I think that the fun thing for me in this is also the way the composition wants me to look between the tree line and lighthouse done the channel and see what could be behind the curve. Like the mystery of that that part of the rendering. I like this, to me it is very well thought out as a composition and then rendered and presented.

Very nice lighthouse painting. Love how you have made the entire image in fog. Just enough to still see the wonderful details of the lighthouse. Love the tree line on the left also. Balances out he painting perfectly. Very well done. Enjoyed viewing.

This is a fascinating picture. Wonderful use of light and shadow. Nice work on the water capturing the reflections of the lighthouse. Is this a lighthouse you have actually seen? Wonderful capture of the moon (sun) surrounded by fog. Good color nuances. Great picture.
