Great capture of the drama unfolding out there.

I love your cloud of smoke drifting into that beautiful sky it all looks so life like and alive.
Lovely colors in the foreground which add to the drama of the scene.
Nice touch the small dead tree on the right.

We are fine now. The smoke lingering in the air is horrible, but the fire itself has moved on up the valley. It came to within 8 blocks of us. Too close for me! Thank you so much for your thoughts and beautiful comments. I really appreciate it, Sue

Thank you, Stirak! It got as close as 8 blocks away, then the wind shifted, and moved the fire the other direction. Early this morning at daybreak, they did finally get the helicopters and bombers in here. I haven't seen the news this evening, but I don't think they have it completely out yet. Again, thank you.

What a beautiful painting. Fire can look beautiful as long as it is at a distance. We had a lot of fires up North here at the beginning of this year. Smoke is very choking for sure.
This is a very beautiful painting. Love the golden colors and the plumes of smoke, they look like clouds against the purple sky.

Thank you for the great review, Jj!! By Saturday late afternoon, the finally got it put out in our area. It did get as close as 8 blocks from us. By then, I figured it was time to panic...lol. Again, thank you.

Thank you, Cathal!! It is out in our area now, but not sure if the entire fire is out. It was really widespread, and seem to be flying through the canyons.
