Very nice and meaningful.
Beautiful technique.
The textures and color are very pleasant.
I find the depth is what brings it all together.
Great work.

Very powerful image. Love the saturation in the colors. And yes, it does seem that this simple image holds a lot of interesting concepts. Nice composition as well.

This is a very unique representation, and I like the description of it with the piece. You say we are enslaved by these emotions, these feelings, these desires. But the question should be do we enslave these things, to make our lives more livable, more manageable, more meaningful, and more worthwhile?

Thank you for the wonderful review, ADC!! You are right. I only mentioned a few things just to give reviewers the idea. I enjoyed reading your idea too. Again, thank you.

A very neat picture, the background effects are colorful yet natural. The "enslaving chain" looks realistic and truly rusted. I see the chain rusted like it's been in place for quite sometime now. Is the "eye" the watcher? The watcher who wants the chain to remain in tact? The picture speaks the story as your notes do. Well presented.

Gorgeous colors and highlights love how the rings seem to symbolize unity and seem to be reaching for a higher state of being . The blues really make the bronze rusty rings pop.

Color, composition, staging, theme are all just right. No mistakes here. The circle of life that goes round, the ever-watching eye, and the summit of higher order; do I see Buddha in this--I think so.
Nicely accomplished and wonderfully introspective.

Thank you so much for the excellent review, Annie!! If you see Buddha, it isn't intentional. :) I think I see where you mean, but will have to check the larger version. Again, thank you.

Love the eye!!!. This is a nicely done piece of mixed media in photography. Do you find it easier to start with a photograph, than to create from scratch? I know I do, mainly because I can't create from scratch, lol. Nicely done Shawn. Shirley

Thank you so much, Shirley!! I deal with photos nearly every day for the business. Every now and then, I get one that has super lighting, and I love to play with those. I don't think that I'm supposed to mush them up so much, but I have to render them unrecognizable...lol. I'll leave the mixed media to those of you who know what you're doing. It's just fun to do for something different. Again, thank you for the wonderful review.
