This is one of the best Heron photos I've seen. Great action and pose. I think the whites are blown out a little and would darken it to add the detain in the highlights. Or, lower the contrast a little. Difficult tonal range and lighting problem but still a great photograph. Thanks for sharing.

Great capture - he really doesn't look very happy! His pose allows us to see more detail of his plumage which makes a much more interesting shot. Lovely texture to the water and great reflection of his legs.

I bet the Heron was just as entertained watching you. The stretch of his neck makes this very eye catching.You greatly captured a strong image with this prideful pose. The lighting makes the birds feathers show a purpose to give him a strong larger then life stance. I think that is what makes this so neat.
