Not one of my favorites of yours.. only because the water looks like a blanket lying there and doesn't blend well with the grassy area. Good details though.

excellent and brilliant depiction of a great north american indian.
you made such a valid point, yes the indians did not start the practice of scalping and the mexicans scalped thousands of indians for bounty.
we should be careful though to look upon indian tribes as saints. the apache and the sioux, turned rape, torture and mutilation into an art form but i love and respect them for being the most feared warriors. another miss conception was the east coast
indians were friendly. they were just easily conned out of giving away their land.
yes again you were correct about propaganda but there were atrocities committed by everyone involved. another neglected fact was a vast amount of indians were wiped away by illness and disease, such as small pox and the common flu and not being massacred in indian wars.
i have read a few books on indian tribes but better off just watching the movie 'ulzana's raid'. not just a brilliant film but it turns every viewer into an expert on the culture and ways of the indian.
ps sorry to waffle on the picture is perfect.

well i didnt want to sound long winded with the narrative, but you are right about indians not being saints. yes the torture was practice on both sides. we as a country have grown from the hard work others, thru pain or death and reward them with our ignorance and prejudice. every race has felt that bite over the era. However as americans, no matter what the race, religion, or sex, we have proven thru history that when our country truly feels threaten ,then we would for that one time operate as one united nation. in otherwords we may have our issues here but other nations find out dont mess with family!...wink... thank you so much for time and your great reveiw!!!

Poor horse having to carry that fat indian. I like the way you did this one. That water hole sure came in handy for the horse. A lot of detail in this. I like the depth you created too. An excellent work of art.
