This is nice, very representative of a time in our history that is shortly becoming extinct. I don't like framing like this; it doesn't lend itself well to gallery presentation. But I do like the affect that you used and in a different setting it would work quite well (for example, if this were a poster).
Good contrast and tonal balance, good flow and spacial balance. This is a nice shot, it works well.

I like shots like this. I also enjoy car and motorbike wheels as a subject. This has some nice strong geometric shapes and a sense of motion despite the lack of blur. The steam is a nice finishing touch, adding extra interest. More like this please Annie

Very, very nice! I am drawn to the photo by the contrasts of the shiny,clean lines of the wheels and locomotive traveling on a rusty looking rail! Great contrast of darks and lights. The steam takes all of the harsh lines of machinery and adds a soft surreal quality at the edge where my eye flow ends.

Great composition. The lighting and shadowing here is very good and fits well with the lines and grooves that you see in this photo. The steam on the left side is also a nice touch. When you see a train you almost never see it like this. Great job creating a presentation that is unique and that has nice impact!

Those strange things can make the best photo's.
