WOW! Fantastic clarity in this shot!! I really appreciate the sharpness in this girl's eye and the shallow DoF that isn't SO shallow that all the feathers that we can see are blurred out. This is, in fact, complete, total, and perfect control of focal depth. I'm very impressed. I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say that this is Willie (but if it's not, take that as a compliment!). Love all those details, and all the tiny lines throughout the breast and head area.. so much to explore! And the ideal exposure, with even light, really allows the viewers' eyes to do just that, without any distractions pulling them elsewhere. The bright-to-neutral colors stand out well against the solid green background, the blurring of the wing generates the depth smoothly, the bird is looking towards the open part of the frame, and the close-up nature generates the desired impact. A real winner! Additionally, if you look at it from an abstract point of view, I really like how the colors interact to take the eye around the triangular shape of the head. A superb photo, thanks for sharing and best of luck!
