Good title and very nice storytelling . The focus and detail are good. the composition is nice and the visual impact is also very good. That being said, the fact your wife like sit is what matters most

I can appreciate the time and effort with this piece. Like your choice of blue hair. It makes her more alluring. The crisp feathers with the white highlights set off her body well. The traditional brown garments add a softness to the work. Lastly I Love the wolf and smile. A very pleasing yet vivid peace.

Very colorful! I think I can now recognize this artist's unique style despite the artist's name not being shown and I think that should get points. Remaining true to your own style despite the criteria is to be respected in my books. I like the composition and the lighting is good. The color brings a lot of interest to this one. My overall impression is that anything done in love, with love, has a special quality that another work would not...good luck in the contest!

Wolves traditionally have great significance in the grand scheme of things-they are known as nature's greatest teacher, strong family values and loyalty are among some of their meanings. This is a lovely piece of work. The aqua tones you have chose to place the buckskin clad maiden on really work well. Your skin colouring as well is very natural-commendable considering that markers don't allow us to blend-you show great talent here with this piece. Her hair is great, as well the angled tilt of her head create interest and a storyline as she peers out at you with her companion by her side. One thing I notice about your work is that you spend a great deal of time making sure you pay attention to every corner of your composition. Lots of artists get a little lazy after the center of interest is done and you end up seeing the detail peter out as you get to the edges of the piece...not with you though ...you commit to your artwork and follow through right to the very edges...I admire that . This is well done and I have really enjoyed reviewing your talent on this piece! Thanks and good luck in the contest! Crystal

thank you so much for being so very observant. i really do believe a picture is not complete without the whole picture and your background has a very important factor of making the center peice come to life. there have been very few have caught onto that. usually i hear that i need to have better skin tones or some other unconstructive suggestions given. I am so glad you can see thru my eyes...lol thank you so much for taking the time in giving me this excellent review.

You're welcome for the review, my pleasure! I think that because your artwork colouring is so consistant that at times people don't realize that it is done with markers-if you made an effort to state what your medium of choice is all the time you may find that people would be more "impressed" with the difficulty of your medium or more understanding of the skin tone issue...I am pretty sure that when it comes to skin tones markers don't leave a tonne of variety to choose from, however you may want to check out Prisma Colour Markers-maybe they might have a greater variety of colours for you to choose from. I live in a place where there are no art stores so I do alot of ordering of supply off line ..you may want to check out Blick Art Supply-"holy cow" do they have a tonne of stuff to choose from (if you are not already familiar with this site you will be in art heaven when you check it out!) not to mention great prices and they often allow you to buy individual colours rather than the whole sets. Good luck in the future! Crystal

you know on every picture that i enter i do specify ink..but you think it would be best to state ink markers...really i was hesitate because over the past 40 years inks markers really never got the artistic respect unless it was done in comics. i wanted to offer gallery quality art thru ink markers (hey if they can do it with computers why cant I with markers?)...lol..being ink is sort of a multi catagory i just mention the general when asked for what medium.yes i am aware of Prisma. i have ahad a few more suggestions of companies i was recommended and i am going to investigate, and hopefully they will sell the individual color. Prisma and others do ask a pretty penny for their multipacks. and i have close to 300 pens so i need a small order if they do it and that is what ill be investigating about. anyway thank you so much for the very constructive suggestions.

As far as I know Blick does do small orders...and I know what you mean about having a tonne of stuff! It never ends does it!LOL...Also I do think you should actually remark that it is "markers"...I think it may make a difference:)

It's good enough for Low Rider Arte magazine. They always choose any art that has an indian on it. The girl looks much better than the wolf.
