So heart wrenching and emotively expressive with the dread and fear of the unknown and feeling powerless. You've really conveyed so much with your portrayal of these two so caught up in worry and despair. The rich colors and detailing really pull you into the strengths of the furrowed brow, the hand on the chin and all its contemplative searchings for answers. Very impacting piece.

You are so right in your comments. What a nice job you did with this. The emotions are all in theface of this adult. It is sad that some adults are VERY AWARE they are bi polar and deny it is fact. When the person living with them is the one suffering the brunt of their ignorance. You used beautiful colors and very nice details in this very touching piece.

I love your back notes, as at the age of 14 I was homeless and it is very true, I am not any of those just bad circumstances, the notes really hit home to me and the look of worry what will come next, awesome job

a moving work and a long way away from your usual fun images. your style is evident but also the great feeling and emotion put into this particular picture. you surely are an artist i will be following in 2012.

Need another six..Really like this one the shot of the road. Its the body language and expression I love. Being a single parent with a disability I have come close to this scene myself so it strikes a cord. Love the child's posture against his mom and the despair and worry on her face. Bravo, a keeper.

Well done work, this reminds me of the black and white photograph taken of a woman during the depression; sorry I cannot remember the artistâ??s name. Good expression of worry on the ladyâ??s face, the child hides his head in shame. The bright colors offsets the grey lifeless situation of the homeless. Well done emotional work.

I like the way you have modernized the famous Dorthea Lange "Migrant Mother" photo which has always haunted me. Nice color and the texture is well applied. Great Job!

I so wish I had more stars to give this. Fantastic artist notes and you have captured the message beautifully.
Love the composition with the road in the background, it makes you wonder where their path is taking them, I hope it will eventually be somewhere nice. Although a sad story to tell, the colours give the image a sense of hope. Very well done, one of my faves of yours

instead of making it glooming i was hoping to project even on a beautiful day, these people still have tragedies. funny note though i was hoping that someone iwas gonna criticize me that i made the horizon to flat..my response would have been...if you notice the highway 61 sign that means you are in the flatland mississppi delta (200 miles of flatland) dont believe me, go see....there is always one in every bunch. i am so happy that you have enjoyed this and do appreciate you taking the time in giving me this excellent review.

Well said and us more fortunate should indeed help the less fortunate of the world! A startling image and truly hits home! The worry alone on the face of the woman is enough to break my heart, not to mention the child leaning close to her. A great expressive example and best of luck in the contest!

This captures a scene that is sadly universal. We read about it, hear about with each other every day, yet we don't engage, we keep our distance, occupied in our own world. This composition is perfect for capturing the essence of this sad happening.. I simply cannot stop looking.Excellent draftsmanship. Well done! Good luck in the contest!
