This is a very beautiful photograph. I love all that bright green moss against the cool white water. Your composition is good and the focus is excellent.

Love this shot. Especially the timed exposure to soften the water. Not that I have been there but this reminds me of pictures of Ireland with all the lush green. Great job.

Where are the birds Willie ? LOL This is indeed a new side of you and I like what I am seeing. You can't go wrong with running water and moss covered rocks, and I think this is a nice entry for the contest.
Your photo is nice and sharp and I the long exposure has given the flow of water the lovely silky look. Still I don't think it is over done. You have also handled the light well and the white parts of brook are not over exposed. It is a lot of clear details in this photo and I also think the colors look nice and natural.
It also seems like you had a good POV. The angle of the brook let the viewer into the image and also created a very good DOFF. This is all together a well taken photo and it is nicely balanced. I wish you luck with the contest.

Nice shot! This is indeed a very relaxing capture - terrific shutter speed - and the color contrast between the subtle blue and the green of the moss is most pleasing! Focus is great in the foreground and the DoF - which probably wouldn't suffer from being even more shallow - takes the viewers on a nice journey into the scene.
However, had this been my shot, I probably would have tried to do a few things differently:
1) The depth of field, as I mentioned above. A deep depth of field isn't really doing this particular shot any favors except lengthening your shutter speed.. I would suggest opening up the aperture to make a more dramatic depth of field and using ND filters to compensate for the lost shutter speed time.
2) The composition.. it's nice as is, but I think it would be even more memorable if you were even lower and straddling the little creek itself, so that the leading line was more prominent.
3) The exposure's a little too dark. Especially considering that this is a green contest, I would suggest upping the luminosity of the green, adding some fill light to shadows, and overall making the scene brighter without sacrificing any of your highlights, which you did a very good job preserving.
Very nice work, and enjoyable piece. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so very much! This is not my normal area. This is the third try. The first was real bad as it was over exposed! The second time I had no way of holding the camera steady and had a lot of motion blurr. This time i was using a monopod which helped but still had some blurr. Next time I will use a trypod. The problem is this place is five hours from home! The only other spot is 2 hours from home so I don't have nuch practice time! Thanks for the advise!

Yeah, I strongly recommend a tripod.. I was hiking the Appalachian Trail with a monopod and found that even at 1/10th of a second I was still picking up a noticeable amount of motion blur...

very nice capture of the flowing water. I like how the exposure gave a smoothness to the water!
Great initial impact, lighting and composition!
Than you for sharing!

Very pretty. It reminds me of milk spilled onto indoor/outdoor carpeting. Nice angle as well as good focusing.

I wish I had higher stars left! I love taking photos of nature. This is so beautiful. Surreal. A place I could only go to in my dreams.
The way you captured the water, showed how fast it was moving, but also has a softness to it. Very impressed!

Wow, what a shot. The shadows and lighting pulls the rush into immediate view sliced up against the rocks and the greenery marries into the serenity. Thank you for sharing the beauty.

Like the realistic look to this and the abstract water
fall in sections. The moss on the rocks add excellent detail.
