Very good work here I did one sommiler last year or so tweakes a little color in mine I think B&W works well here. Thank you for sharing with us.

Very good choice for b&w. The outer areas looks like textured celophane that I'd like to use to wrap a present. Everything seems to glisten. Creative shot with cool details.

The detail in this is what deserves the 5 stars. The black and white gives good contrast that may not be there in color. For me at least, there isn't a lot of eye appeal. Top grades for the technical side of it though.

I also like a close view of these seeds. They really look fantastic when you see them as close as this. This is a nice photo to show in BW, and I like how well captures the silvery look of some of the small hairs.
Your focus is pin sharp showing very good and clear details and the exposure is just spot on. Very fine definitions between light and dark areas.
It is also very effective the way you filled the whole frame, and I also think the format works well. Excellent macro of a dandelion. I wish you luck with the contest.

You are most welcome. Nothing surprises me any more. Habe just reviewed a photo of a butterfly which received 5 stars from all teh reviewers. It was out of focus and with a really messy background.

I know what you mean! I have been guilty of giving five stars but it has been a long time. I go by what the stars mean. I either don't review it or I give them three or four depending on haw bad it is. I try to help them but for some the best advise is to sell their camera and get a different hobby!
