Lovely shot! We have these in the Uk. The numbers are going down for one reason or other.
I like how you captured this sparrow as if doing the splits!His eye seems to be connecting to your lens.
The plant's leaves gives scale to the size of it. The flowers give the image a "splash" of colour. Good framing, focus and composition. Well done, thank you for sharing an enjoyable picture. Great subject matter.

This is very special. I don't have a six star option at the moment unfortunately. These tiny birds are usually very quick and very fluttery so the focus you got with this bird who was clearly not posing for you is exceptional. I also love the fact that the neutral coloured bird is surrounded by explosions of colour.

Lovely light makes this a winner,Willie.The subject stands out well from the background.Nice and sharp where it needs to be with excellent detail as usual. I may have trimmed the left side a bit to bring the bird more on the third but thats just me. Mitch
