Wonderful oil painting. I'm always so incredibly impressed with how traditional artist are able to present elements with such a realism. Your color blending is skillful. I really like the dynamic stormy sky. Overall the blue in it's different shades just really works together and presents a nice piece. Great work.

I love the use of all the different hues of blue in this painting. The sky is so expressive. I love the motion of the water. Great waves. Great turmoil. Great action between sky and sea. Great job!

Super presentation - great contest entry - amazing initial impact - the waves are just taking over roiling on to the invisible beach - your ocean scene is fantastic in color choice , in composition, in color arrangement and harmony - amazing details in textures and movements - seems the wild spirits are released to play with the waters , a wow work - all the best for the contest

The color is nice and bright. The overall look is rather amateur, but, hey look we all started somewhere and somehow I am impressed this was shared by the painter. Thanks for sharing.. Good Job!

I am hurt by your poor rating and arrogant comments. I wonder if you paint at all. I've been painting for over 60 years and don't take kindly to being told we all started somewhere. I know art is a personal thing and we don't all like the same sort but I think it would be better if you perhaps thought a little more before wording your review as you did. This site is supposed to encourage rather than discourage.

I am so sorry, I do not paint and should have "skipped reviewing this. I have reviewed many paintings without hurting feelings and am really sorry I selected this and hurt yours..

You said imaginary storm? It certainly looks like a live Storm to me.. Wonderful capture, the breaking waves in the foreground with the white caps and greenish water really bring this scene together for a Wonderful work of ART. The stormy skies and land Ho in the right side of the painting are very real. Good luck in the contest. Royal

Thank you so much for your lovely review. I live by the sea and have done so for most of my life so this is an imaginary painting from many memories of rough seas we have here sometimes.

Beautiful painting of this stormy coast and a great entry for the contest. Very good definition and depth on the water, the wave and the clouds all done in a stormy blue with just a bit of color for the sun!! Nice work, and best of luck in the contest.

This is a really beautiful painting. I've never used those kind of paints before. This looks great. I also have never mastered the ocean, but you obviously have. Lovely colors, I like the hint of pink. It looks like there is a storn coming. Lovely painting done well.

The only time we see waves like these are during a storm. Most of us go to the beach before a major hurricane to take photos because the ocean looks like a lake most days.
Love the blues and the wee bit of pink in the moody sky that is always around before a storm. Love the highlights on the foam of the wave.
Great movement and fab entry. Great Painting!
