Brilliant piece of pointillism Lucien. What patience you must have for this technique!
I think you have achieved your intent very well in as far as the neck and eye are concerned and I like the complimentary color scheme to differentiate the positive and negative spaces. The 3d effect I feel could have been better accentuated with more use of black merging to darker green around the perimeter of the bird.Probably a lot harder to do in this technique than just shading with a brush or pencil.
Just an observation which you may or may not feel appropriate.
Interesting and well rendered image.

The hardest part is staying away from black it really takes over the work if your not careful, so I usually use a dark colors in this case a dark blue, or some times a complimentary color will work.

This is another one of those
amazing paintings done with
tips. It just boggles my mind on how long this must take, how pain staking this must be.

The colors are great, all the different colors in the
beak just blend perfectly.

Making that long "S" curve
must have been a hard task, but it turned out very
graceful.

You have chosen good colors for the background also.

Just great skill and patience.

Thank you for sharing

This is amazing and I imagine very difficult to do. I love the bend of the bird's head and his eye looking right at me. Great color and shading. Just a perfect piece, actually, I think, capturing its personality. thanks for sharing.

wonderful representation of a flamingo..
A great example of pointillism, of which I have no patience for as an artist.
The way you have executed this brings a wonderful soft texture to the canvas, adding dimension and depth as well. Wonderful job !

I love this drawing! The eye, the beak and the curve in the neck work so well to draw the viewer's eye around and around this picture. The greens and blues of the background do the same. The color scheme is great! The background colors make the flamenco stand out so well .The colors in the beak are perfect to make it so real. The beak in itself is a work of art.

This technique always attracts my total attentions as it is a work of patience, dedication, love and big vision - concentration and accuracy in color choice and application

Super subject choice . Your flamingo is well positions with a neat look that is their own - special use of space , super balance of green and the birds pastel - great nuances and textures in the background , perfect expressive face with perfect proportions of the head and beak

A wonderful unique image, great technical skills , well done
