cassandra01,
I always being with the first dot, had to say that.
Maybe more then you want to know, but I want to give a little more information on the piece.
First off, Thank you for having opened and taken the time to looked at this piece of artwork & giving me your impressions of it. A piece of this size (5 x 7 inches ) depending on complexity can take anywhere from 12 to 20 hours to complete, this one took 15 hours.
It is a technique that I simply can not get enough of the way it gets me to looking and understanding colors, how they play off of one another, it is fun, challenging and amazing what the results can bring. That great 3D effect in the way the pure colors compliment and some time contrast to get that feeling of perspective and depth. And how all the dots works on creating form and structure without using any lines I find fascinating.
In closing, I especially appreciated all of you efforts and comments on this artwork. I hope you will continue to support my work in the future.
Thank you again for the support, have a great day! ... Cheers!!!

How I said today to MK, this is a technique that I admire deeply, and I think one of more difficult. You did a great job. Love the facial expression and very nice color, excellent lighting and good frame. Well done

I am in awe of your technique and surprised by how I do not see the points until I look closely. Only one small bug-a-boo. The horses neck appears too short and thick. Pe

Bertodi,
Sorry to hear your artwork was stolen, that is always a bummer, I have had that happen a couple of times from actual shows.

lucien, not only am I honored you chose to do this using one of my pictures, I am in awe of the wonderful depth you have created using such a time consuming method. The life in the eye, the shadows, and the tension in the neck are so amazing. This is indeed lovely! Donkeyoatey

I would say your creation has work. You have a realistic art here of the horse love the fence in the background and up front showing the texture of a fence

clickit0824,
yes, the capturing of the various textures using just dots is the challenge.

I think that when someone has created something like this that takes so much time and creativity, a little bit of them comes through,
which is what makes this special, support is no problem as your work is great, but at this moment in time my money has to go elsewhere, thanks for taking the time to explain this process to me, you are very talented. regards. jo

Again I say, your pointillism technique is awesome and you have captured the horse in a very real way. His face is perfect and his expression very appealing. The whole image with the fence and grass is well balanced and fascinating with all those dots!
