Lucien this is absolutely the cutest and sweetest post. I love penguins and this is such a lovely portrayal of them.
Their plight and all the go through to continue their species really touches me.
You captured the tender caring bond between the parent and the chick so well.
Did you really do this in 1977? You have always had a wonderful way with nature, if that is true.

I fell in love with the Emporer Penguins when I watched a documentary telling of their endless plight. This is a beautifully rendered image, so realistic, right down to the expressions on their faces. Wonderful light and shadow effects. Excellent work.
