This is a beautifully done if not tragically sad shot. Composition is excellent as are the tones. Thank you for sharing this. Travlin1

I was wondering how close you might be to this disater. We are about 10 miles to the north, in Upland, and can see all this from up here. I have two daughters and their families who live in Diamond Bar where the latest outburst has occurred. My youngest, Patti and her daughter, 3 year old, Ali Kat have been ordered to evacuate and are on their way here. Her husband, a captain in the Air Force, is up north at an air force school at the moment. My middle daughter, Lisa, lives about 5 miles from Patti and is waiting to see if they will have to go. Very scary. I certainly hope you are safe. My daughters told me that they made certain that any of my paintings that they have will be taken with them. Great photo of the havoc. Stay safe.

It has now passed us, but when those flames crested the hill after dark last night and early this morning, it got really spooky. Diamond Bar is still very much in news. They stopped it from entering a very exclusive gated community called The Country (Diamond Bar). Hope both your daughters are safe. We are OK here now. If the wind would have shifted, it may have been a different story. Thank you, Bill

Glad you are safe. My daughter and granddaughter were here and it looks like they will be able to get back into their home tonight or in the morning. It is scary. Bill

This is a fine digital landscape painting, good initial impact, and quite alarming to be so near to Your house. The colors, and atmospheric effect adds great drama as well. Excellent job. Take care.

Wow! What an awesome composition this is! You have done a tremendous job on this! Great work with the skills you have of producing this digitally! No one wants to hear of a horrible fire like this destroying homes and human lives! I have been following the story myself on the news!

Thank you, Dazzleme! My husband told me yesterday that they still do not have it completely out in some places. This fire covered many miles.

Very effective depiction of a brush fire - very nice usage of earth colors, very realistic fire that seems to glow and good smoke clouds. The foreground provides for a nice 3D effect in the image.

Yes I have been watching this on the news off and on all weekend and it is unbelievable. I feel so badly for the people who have lost their homes, and this morning a third fire has started. You have portrayed a very good scene from the fire at Chino Hills State Park. The smoke is incredible both here and what is shown on TV. I hope the best for you. Initial impact and creativity are very good. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review, Fila! If you have been watching the news, they finally did get it out in our area. But I think it is still burning in other areas.

Very good depiction of a fire in the hills. You have achieved the essence of the smoke and flames in the distance. Very realistic looking. Like the reddish brush in the foreground. Good color choices that compliment each other well. Even though it depicts devistation, it is a beautiful painting. Well done. Good depth. Enjoyed viewing.
