A beautiful photo, great and i mean great focus, good eye contact, beautiful colour and tones. There is somethings i would do, but this doesn't effect my score for the subject is great. I would just crop out all i have put in blue, for what that would do is give you a slight of center view, and comes in what they call "thirds" and gets rid of the washy blur from behind, for in this photo you don't need it. Having said that, this is still very good work, well done.

Much better, some might suggest to do a crop on the front, but personally i wouldn't,for i like the water around the bird, but it looks alot better now, i'm sure you would agree.
