My comments are merely suggestions, use them if you like them, ignore them if you do not. :)

Its OK to break "Technical" rules, in my reviews, when breaking them is creative or expresses your feelings.

Always like good photos of birds. Great background, keylight in his eye. One picky thing, a tiny bit of sharpening might be good, but its a 5 anyway.

Impact 5

This has a lot of impact in the subject, variation from blacks to bright colors.
It has specific points of interest that bring me back to see them. The blacks, just right for my taste.

Lighting 6

Appropriate for the image, natural appearing, with open shadows, leading us down the path to view important areas... with a good values.

Composition - 5

We want to choose a powerful interest point, put it into the position with most impact. This is very close.

Creativity: 5

Comparing your image with a zone scale, see a good range of zones on my calibrated monitor. Keeping a gray scale and color scales on my monitor, compared them with your colors.

Why is it important to have a calibrated monitor?
It is the range of blacks, grays, and whites, that control colors, create impact or drama. A full contrast scale, gives maximum usable contrast for colors. Usually this means a lot of impact in the Image.

My favorite subjects are images with warm colors, they attract my eye, as I know warm colors create good feelings...

There is a good variation of color, with yellow, orange and red or browns, which enhance the artistic elements.

It has interesting patterns in light and shadows, with good detail in the mid-tones, and highlights...

When we look for the quality in the work of masters or mentors, and aim to duplicate that quality, we can achieve it, with practice.

The more we look at the work of others closely to see what we like, the more info we store in our brain. Then, the brain uses this information, all combined to create our own style of work.

My desire as a reviewer, is to help you produce something better, each time. Sometimes that is difficult, with those who have a lot of experience.

You have done well with this image, will enjoy seeing more of your work.
