It is an amazing shot. For obvious reasons I can't comment on colors or light, but I can say that what we see of the moon is very sharp showing the surface real well. I like the cropping leaving space around the moon, and I also like the placement within the frame. You have done well, and I wish you good luck with the contest.

This photo actually saddens me. Not because its a bad photo but because of the thought that it instills in me. I lost my mom 2 years ago and I still find myself looking to the heavens, the moon the stars. Looking for a sign that she is watching over me. That falling star that might be by chance or was it a sign from above. Its a beautiful photo.

Good initial impact. Excellent focus and lighting. B&W is a very good choice to displaying the Gibbous Moon. The very clear image of the moon surface is the center of interest. Good composition, cropping and framing. Good technique, technical skill and story telling potential. Creativity in title, presentation and artist's notes.
