This is an exciting image,it makes you think straight away.It to me describes the dust of time gathering in a house and bursting through the door, the past affecting the future-technically excellently drawn with exciting use of colour.

One of my favorite songs! How fitting and a great contest entry! Like all the angles and the d.o.f. is well done to create some mystery in the art work! Nice use of medium and the scene is well done for the title! You nailed some wonderful angles here! Best of luck in the contest!

ahhhhhhhhhh my lil chickadee( im a W.C. Feilds fan) sorry i have a habit saying that when i see your name. I am so honored in this excellent reveiw that you have given me. as you can tell i dont work with paint and to get that excellent compliment from fantastic artist who works paint in such a life like manner like you do, its like the marching band coming thru my living room! I have been a fan of Kansas since 1975 have all their albums. "Dust in the Wind" is one of many favorite songs they have done. You know for a footnote when i started on this picture i was listening to that song and the rest is well you say is history..lol Thank you so much for taking time from your busy schedule for giving me this great reveiw!

Awesome technique that brings you in whether ya want to or not. The color harmony is smooth and the detail is flawless. Initial impact "BRINGS YOU IN". Great job on this.

this must be a reoccurring memory as I too have a memory of doors, from a different continent and country from when I was small- and tried to firm it up by painting it.. Being a post war refugee, I would sooner forget most memories but some stick to you-- this is really eye catching not just on an American view- but for world thoughts.

(music) i close my eyes....only for a moment then the moments gone...all my dreams... crumbles to the ground though i refuse to see..dust in the wind....all we are is dust in the wind....(music) Kansas(1977). I am so floored by your moving interpretation of this particular work of mine, i invision the thought of the individual souls through out the world, with thier stories from triumps to tragedies. While doing so i put on that Kansas cd "Point of no Return" and play the harmonius song "Dust in the Wind". I want to thank you for such an insightful and moving reveiw. I really appreciate you taking time from your busy schedule to share that with me.

Guess this is what they call bringing the beach to the house. This is great the way you have done it. I like the wonderful colors in this. All the details in everything is excellent. Bet you had fun making all those dots in the sand. The depth in this is excellent. Just an interesting and excellent work of art. Good luck in the contest.

like your depiction of a dream
like how the dust comes flooding in
how the door has come off it's hinge, what holds things together are coming apart
like illusion in the face of reality
nice doorway within a doorway
good colors..help create the strangeness of the scene
and nice texturizing dust and walls
good concept/successful visualization for me

This is cool. I remember seeing photos of a place that is being overtaken by sand, was it in Russia? I love how you have captured the feel of the flowing sand. Lovely use of colors!
