Very nice photo of the Rudy Throated Humming Birds . Yes I see with the black background . It sets this lovely bird off, nice angle shot color great like the detail of the birds wings . All round nice pic thanks for sharing

glad you are in the b category. my image is in H. don't think I would have stood a chance with this one in the pot. absolute wonderful capture. sense of movement is incredible with fantastice sharpness of the hummingbird. they are such a challenge and your image met them all. very well done. Bravo!

Nicely captured, and not an easy shot to get. In a shot like this I think the negative space of the background is so important, and would have liked to see a bit more of it. Keep in mind a square crop is very static, unlike the subject matter. A little more black on the left and/or above would really add to sense of space and movement. Otherwise, very nicely done. Good luck on the contest.

Excellent shot, and especially well done for getting two of these fast-moving little beasts in focus (well, apart from the wings) together. Lovely capture of the front guy's eye and metallic green feathers. He looks like he's about to be speared by his rival's sharp beak!
