Great piece. I love the bright pink of the poppy. The shape of the petals looks very realistic. The little green buds behind the bloom add just the right pop of color against the black background. Great job on the vase as well. Love the polka dots and gold handles.

Beautifully done digital piece, with wonderful colors, design, and finish. The vase ,and colorful flowers stand out very well with the choice of black background. Excellent work. Ron

Such a big flower for such a tiny vase. The flower is gorgeous. I love the details and shading in this piece. You did a fabulous job. It's beautiful.

Thank you, amfunny. It sure is strange how people don't bother reading the notes. I got tired trying to explain why the flower looked so big LOL, so I just went back and made the flower smaller. :))) No explainations needed that way. Poppies are a really light and airy flower, so it didn't seem like such an odd idea at the time. I'm always sticking flowers in pretty little bottles and such--around the house here I mean. I thank you so much for the great comments. I really appreciate it, and just for the record, I wasn't talking about your review when I mentioned people not reading notes. It just seems to be the way of many reviewers. Again, thank you!! :)shawn

Oh, no... I liked it the way it was.. sometimes I put a big flower in a tiny bud vase. I know what you mean about people not reading the artist notes.. I always read them unless they are longer than two paragraphs.. lol... after that, they bore me.

Personally, I did too. It made it more unique and sort of whimsical. :)

Its a nice almost classical still life. I like the reflection in the lacquered surface beneath the vase. The big poppy seems unusual in its size but is effective and intriguing. I love those gorgeous colors on the black.

Not so big Cleo when you consider the vase is a small miniature vase--a bottle that held something else at one time--perfume, bath salts, bubble bath, etc. LOL. Thank you dear friend, for the wonderful comments. I truly appreciate it. :)shawn

Thats true. I was just not thinking miniature. :-)

Very good us of color and interesting composition..although not familiar with digital painting techniques, I appreciate a well thought out design. Good use of repeating patterns in the pod-like subject and polka dots in vase. The reflection of the vase doesn't leave the subject hanging in space. Enjoyable work.

Fabulous presentation and composition is excellent! Color harmony is wonderful, and it is visually so appealing. Love the vase color and design, and the flower is just exquisite with the gradient tones. Lovely and just a delight to view! Nice work!

Because this is so changed, you could have posted it as a totally new image! I love it.

Coming from a great cartoonist, that's a super compliment :) Thank you so much for the wonderful comments and the thought on the six. Virtual sixes are worth much more than the other kind. Just like the old saying--it's the thought that counts. Again, thank you, rhatzz. I really appreciate it. :)shawn
