Suzanne, this is lovely. I know Spurn Point well. My late dad was Coastguard at, Bridlington, Filey and Redcar and this image reminds me of him and takes me home.

Spurn Point. I have been there.
I did a nature reserve station project at spurn point as a student when i was in Hull.
And yes, I do remember the lighthouse too.
Nice painting to bring back happy memories.

The way this was painted is very beautiful The far off distance and almost around the corner at the end. The ocean, beach, BarbeQ pits and the lighthouse it self adds so much to the feeling of the picture. The green grass is nice and the sky of blue help to bring it all together. Thanks for the story too.

Love the style, balance and composition, the colors work very well together. The path leads you nicely into the painting and up to the the lighthouse before the eye follows the line down onto the beach and sea a very well executed painting. Fred

I think I could enjoy a picnic there too, even if I never painted. It should have some interesting bird life and the ole lighthouse needs to be snooped in or at least around. Liked your ocean and beach the most on this one although you did a great job on the lighthouse too.
