I like delicate curvature from the extended wing. It gives away aero dynamic feel without air calculation. The pale blue background sky gives quite refreshing outcome. Please to view and thank you for sharing.

Really like this... Most of my shots of seagulls, do not have this wide a wingspan, it make them more dramatic and a better composition. It could make a good painting also.
Its difficult to
reproduce Paintings with cameras, the camera. It tends to compress zones of tonality into an 18% gray. However there are some excellent free photo programs on the Internet, if you don't have a good one. You might try reading the review on Cnet to see if you think one would better work for you.
Some Free editing programs are:
Gimp or Gimpshop, much like Photoshop
Picasa 3
Virtual Studio
a standalone program or plug in for PS.
This free on-line image editor has a close
resemblance to Photoshop both in appearance
and in tools. It also can handle layers, filters
and adjustments such as levels and curves.
Check it out at:
Photo editor online - Pixlr.com edit image
Faststone Image Viewer
Irfanview (limited but good)
Paint usually comes with XP etc.
Flickr has an onlin editing, makes
conversions to Black and White, etc.
Online editing with PicNik.com
PaintNet Paint
Photoscape
PhotoFiltre
Then at Cnet there is a comparison of 15 online editors

Your patience paid off. It's very hard to get an in focus shot of a flying bird. Good job. I like how your framed the gull also. The only small thing is you might have sharpened it a bit too much, if you look around the gull there is a mall halo. That's what happens with too much sharpening. Plus the sky looks a little "grainy". Those are just to look for the next time.
