Great capture of heron in natural habitat. Looks like some water spots on the camera lens? Good clear image. Lots of detail. Looks nothing like the great blue. Thanks for sharing one I've never seen before.

This is an intense photo. The bird appears to have a look of great determination on his/her face. The long legs look out of place yet we know they fit perfectly. The detail in the feathers is wonderful.

The Green Heron is smaller than his big impressive cousin but he makes it even with prettiness. In my experience the Green Heron is harder to photograph. He is smaller and tend to hide more. I think he is a bit [camera-]shy.
You did an outstanding job in capturing this bird. The coloring is excellent, very natural. The markings are beautifully visible and great in detail. The DOF is outstanding. The blurred water in the background is a great enhancement for the colors of the bird. Best Luck for the contest!

Your welcome. I know the Green is skittish but the Blue down here behave as if the are the kings of the area. Even my dog get close as 10-15 feet on the beach, Its harder in the jungle.

Great capture. Great framing and composition. Wonderful colors. Great focus and depth of field. The only suggestion would be to clone out that little stick that seems to be growing out of his back. Otherwise great shot.
