This is a beautiful picture of the female cardinal. It doesn't seem fair that the male gets all of the red color though. I like the color of the background you have chosen. Very nice close-up

Cardinals are gorgeous and this one is no exception. I love how you've captured it's personality and all the rich warm tones that are not the typical reds of the male but the more understated colors of the female that really are beautiful. I too buy sunflower seeds and fill a feeder outside my window where I paint to watch them:) I love the close up detail and the way you have cropped this photo as well.

I like the way she is positioned with her head turned to the side. Her eye looks soft and gentle and her mouth is a wonderful color. Well composed and framed. One of the nicest bird pictures I have seen.
