Well composed - great placement of the subject with a soft background that enhances the bird. Excellent sharpness, good subject pose that shows off the bird quite well. All of the colors work well, the yellow/green background works well with the bird. Nice eye catchlight.
Deserves more than the fine if can give it.

You have to love the Goldfinch, pretty birds for sure. Your detail in the feathers are very nicely seperated, your lens has very good optics put pull that through. Good action shot.

It is so hard to get a great picture of a wild bird. This is excellent. I love the detail of the bird and limbs. They are clear and crisp. I like the unfocused green background. It really makes the bird pop. I think it is totally unfair that the males are more beautiful in nature. Oh well, we as humans do have make-up.
